Lorraine joined the SAP Ariba in 2014, integrated into the ‘Procurement & Business Networks line of business. This organisation is called the Network Value Organisation, within SAP. Lorraine leads the Value Engineering (VE) function in the ANZ region, she brings a broad network, expertise and an in-depth knowledge set of regional issues and practices. Lorraine is also a well known speaker on Technology and Procurement/Supply Chain Transformation and has had a long history of challenging the Status Quo. Her passion for procurement and business excellence has built the Value Engineering function within region across a broad industry base. Lorraine works closely with our major customers to streamline business analytics and improve procurement decision making, by delivering strategic advice, undertaking program planning and business case analysis. Lorraine also helps organisations understand their technical journey, their capability, capacity and requirements to undertake a change management program to #MakeProcurementAwesome.
Lorraine has over 20 years industry experience across a range of sectors covering FMCG, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Management Consultancy, Heavy Freight & Logistics, ITC Management Platforms, Energy and Sustainability, with the past seven years focused on Strategic Procurement and Change Management Initiatives. Lorraine has also used her ability to identify and enable Startup businesses, working with both NGO’s and private enterprise to enable change.
She has worked in both the Public and Private sector delivering simplified business excellence and best in class results. As a Procurement Strategic Specialist, she led a major whole of Government Utilities strategy, as part of the procurement transformation division of the Queensland Government, delivering millions in cost optimisation that was redeployed into Government frontline services. To achieve this “Whole of Government” strategy, Lorraine successfully engaged senior government stakeholders in a complex political and commercial environment. She identified savings initiatives and led the tender campaign, achieving ongoing savings in energy purchasing over the next 2 years and a transition towards a market driven indexed mechanism into the future. The immediate dollar savings were accompanied by major improvements in data aggregation and access to enterprise data warehousing systems, which will enable ongoing operational efficiencies over the next 5 years.
Lorraine has strong industry networks, having held roles representing industry and government agencies. Lorraine is an active contributor to procurement associations, including the Faculty Round Table, CIPSA and Procurious (Foundation Member). Her broad operational experience, coupled with her strategic procurement background and qualifications, enables her to develop and facilitate cradle-to-grave programs, yielding savings, efficiencies and a trusted advisory reference for our client base. Lorraine is a keen cyclist, scuba diver, an avid soccer fan and an adventurer of foreign places.
