The Hon. Jordi Puigneró I Ferrer
Born in the city of Sant Cugat (Barcelona-Catalonia), 1974
He has a degree and master in Information Systems Engineering from the University of Surrey (England). He began his professional career in the IT Department of Deutsche Bank in Frankfurt, where he worked as an analyst-programmer from 1997 to 2000, before moving to IBM in Barcelona, where he worked as a senior consultant and head of IT projects and new technologies from 2000 to 2003. In 2003 he joined Sant Cugat del Vallès Town Council as chief of staff to the mayor, becoming later vice-mayor for Technology and Innovation of the local government up to 2013 when he was appointed IT Director General of the Catalan Government. He is currently the Secretary of Telecommunications, Cybersecurity and Digital Society of the Government of Catalonia.
