Keynote Title: Digitising Infrastructure in a changing world.
As we evolve to Smart Cities 2.0, technology and data is driving new ways in which we interface with city infrastructure. Governments and cites are now positioning themselves as ‘platforms’, building foundations of data for better decision making. Yet, to solve the big challenges such as urban liveability, water and waste management we are going to need more than data platforms. What is needed is a willingness to experiment with new technologies, funding and governance models. This presentation examines examples around the globe where city leaders have collaborated, tested and prototyped to deliver smarter and more responsive infrastructure that truly benefits its citizens.
